Mobile development: iOS, Android, and Flutter
I have been shipping mobile software since 2013. My own app, Reword Me, is on the App Store right now. My accessibility work shipped inside discovery+, an iOS app carrying 4.9 stars across 912,000+ ratings. Before that came enterprise apps at CA Technologies, AR at Verizon, computer vision on Android at Zebra, and IoT sensor apps. Today my Flutter work builds for six platforms from one codebase.

Apps I've shipped work on
- Reword Me (my own app, 2026, iOS). An iMessage extension that rewrites an awkward draft before you send it. Built solo in Swift with UIKit and a StoreKit subscription, it ships in 12 languages with VoiceOver, Dark Mode, and Dynamic Type support. Rated 5.0 on the App Store as of August 2026; the product site is rewordme.ai.
- discovery+ (Warner Bros. Discovery, 2020 to 2022, Senior Software Engineer). Implemented VoiceOver accessibility in the discovery+ iOS app and its tvOS sibling in Swift. The iOS app carries 4.9 stars across 912,000+ App Store ratings as of August 2026.
- CA Flowdock (CA Technologies, 2014 to 2016, Mobile Software Engineer). Contributed to the official iOS and Android apps of CA's team chat product. I also built the RESTful JSON and OData backends the mobile clients consumed. The apps served the product until CA retired Flowdock in 2022; CA's archived download page still lists the iPhone, iPad, and Android apps.
- TouchID authentication framework (CA Technologies, 2014 to 2016). Shipped the TouchID authentication framework for CA Identity Manager, CA's enterprise identity product, bringing fingerprint auth to enterprise identity in the first years Apple allowed third‑party TouchID use.
- AR Designer (Verizon's envrmnt AR/VR unit, 2017 to 2019, Software Systems Engineer IV). Built the AR Designer iOS application in Swift and integrated Cognitive3D spatial analytics. AR Designer launched in April 2018 as envrmnt's platform for adding AR experiences to mobile apps; I also integrated 3D physics into VR, AR, and 360 video services across five platforms including iOS and Android.
- Computer vision on Android (Zebra Technologies, 2019 to 2021, Lead / Senior Software Engineer). Led a computer vision project on Android in a native NDK and C++ codebase: refactored the app from a single thread to a three‑thread architecture and improved its rendering performance with OpenGL ES 2.
- IoT sensor apps (Green Energy Research, 2013 to 2019, Principal Software Engineer). Built iOS and Android apps that capture live data from 24 device types over TCP/IP, plot it in real time, and stream video from an embedded single‑board computer.
One codebase, six platforms
Both products pictured are my own, designed, engineered, and operated solo. Reword Me is native Swift; the rest of my current cross‑platform work is Flutter.
- One Group Central. An all‑in‑one private member portal: documents, events, chat, and cryptographically anonymous voting. The Flutter client builds for web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux from one codebase, and I wrote the C++ server behind it. Live on the web at onegroupcentral.com.
- Proven Sudoku and Musicianle. My two daily games are Flutter clients too: live on the web today, with the Proven Sudoku iOS release in progress.
What I bring to a mobile project
- Native iOS. Swift and UIKit from enterprise auth to iMessage extensions, StoreKit subscriptions, and store submission end to end.
- Native Android. Java and NDK C++, multithreaded capture and processing pipelines, OpenGL ES rendering.
- Cross‑platform Flutter. One Dart codebase that builds for six platforms, with camera capture, on‑device ML Kit text recognition, and push notifications.
- Accessibility. VoiceOver shipped inside an app with 912,000+ ratings, and in my own app.
- Auth and payments. Biometric authentication frameworks, RS256 JWT flows, and subscription billing.
- Device and vision work. Computer vision pipelines, sensor protocols over TCP/IP, and AR at Verizon's envrmnt unit and on HoloLens 2 at NIST.
